Review highlights

Based on 400 reviews

The Wine Palace in Narbonne is widely praised for its impressive and carefully curated wine selection, complemented by a menu that emphasizes seasonal, creative dishes thoughtfully paired to enhance the dining experience. Reviewers frequently highlight the friendly and attentive service, as well as the cozy, modern atmosphere that merges a bistro and wine bar ambiance. The presence of a Michelin-starred chef adds a level of culinary prestige recognized by patrons. While the food quality and wine offerings are strengths, some feedback mentions that the pricing, particularly for lunch, can feel steep and the location in a commercial area is less appealing. Overall, The Wine Palace is regarded as a noteworthy destination for wine enthusiasts and gourmets alike.

Great choice of wine. The food is good. The service is correct and the staff friendly. Now, it lacks a bit of cuisine in my humble opinion. The neighborhood sucks, being in the middle in the commercial area between cars and gas stations really is not appealing. And last thing : 35€ for the lunch menu is way too expensive for what it is.

An absolute gem in Narbonne! Cave à Manger effortlessly combines wine bar, bistro, and gourmet experience into one cozy, unpretentious space — all delivered with genuine warmth and care. The menu is small, seasonal, and bursting with creativity. Every dish is thoughtfully crafted to pair beautifully with their impressive selection of natural wines. The wine list alone is worth the visit, but the food truly elevates the entire experience. The dorade tartare, entrecôte, and the strawberry éclair and milhojas were absolutely to die for. Our Kids also had a delicious menu for 20 EUR. What made the evening even more special was our amazing server, not only incredibly friendly and attentive, but every single recommendation she made was spot on and absolutely delicious. You could really feel her passion and knowledge. The service is outstanding: warm, professional, and full of personality. You don’t just feel looked after, you feel like you’ve discovered a new favorite local gem. Whether you’re in for a relaxed dinner, a glass of wine with a few small bites, or just passing through town, Cave à Manger is an unforgettable stop. Highly recommend booking in advance — and don’t be surprised if you’re already planning your return visit before the night is over.

We have been here a couple of times now and we have been given consistently good and friendly service. The choice and quality of food is good and obviously there is a wide selection of wine that if you enjoy you can buy and take home. The restaurant is modern and clean and the parking and access very good. What's not to like!

If you’re traveling in the area, this restaurant is definitely worth a stop. The chef, Lionel Giraud who has 2 stars in the Michelin guide, created this bistro next to his main restaurant, the food is amazing, and the wine list is great.

Excellent food served by the friendliest staff. Amazing wine selection, fantastic tapas, original dishes and solid classics: squid carbonara where the spaghetti are squid strips, and fries cooked in goose fat, among many things.

The place was full on Saturday evening and no wonder! We went for a very very simple menu for 35€ and it was an absolute steal. I would highly recommend this restaurant. Our waiter spoke perfect English and knew the menu very well.
